Radial Keys - Tubular key STL Files
Purchase STL files to print unlimited quantities of radial and tubular keys on your own printer at home, no paying for or waiting for deliveries, 3d print your own keys at home within minutes of ordering your STL Key file, please understand any limitations of your CNC medium or printer filament for suitability as even steel keys can and do break. we have a selection of free to download STL key files, simply add the FREE test file to cart and proceed through checkout to download, don't worry we do not need your postal address or any card details for this just an email address, and its 100% free of cost or obligation.
we supply 3d printer and CNC STL files for the following manufacturers and keycodes of tubular radial locks
How to 3D print a Radial Key
The Default slicer settings on standard consumer machines have been tested on a bambu labs A1, Ender3, Creality K1, Prusa all of which produced dimensionally accurate strong keys in under 26 mins using PETG filament, quality, speed and strength can all be improved upon but none were necessary, as standard settings produced a working key ideal for copying onto steel blanks.
After Printing a 3d tubular key:
As these are not display pieces we simply heat gun or wire brush our 3d printed radial keys after printing to remove any stringing ect. after rigorous printing trials we have noticed two outcomes depending on machine and setup, the 3d printed keys will look visually different from one another, however both types of this 3d printed tubular radial key are perfectly fine and dimensionally accurate.
3d printed radial key type 1
with a well maintained machine and by tweaking settings all printers we tested were fully capable to print exactly as per STL supplied, the 3d radial key produced will be visually and dimensionally identical to a traditionally cut radial key
3d Printed Tubular key type 2
on a well used 3d printer or not fully dry filament using standard slicer settings and a 0.4mm nozzle you 'could' print a key with a castle effect on the cut end, rest assured this key will still be dimensionally perfect, but will look visually different from a traditionally cut tubular key, this 3d printed radial key will still work and can be duplicated from creating a visually accurate steel key if required.
